Over in Cypress Park is Tagalog Takeover, a new Filipino pop-up operating out 1802 Roasters patio on Saturdays and Sundays, and out of Employees Only in West Hollywood on Thursdays via their Summer Social Club program. The menu is filled with fried chicken sandwiches made with Sambal aioli, pancit canton which includes stir-fried noodles, shiitake, and calamansi, and Shanghai lumpia filled with beef and carrots, then covered in sweet Thai chili sauce.
